Hi there, thank you for taking the time to visit my page. My name is Callie, and I am a Lead Gameplay Developer for Ironstrike, a co-op VR roguelike on Meta Quest.

From a young age, I've been captivated by the world of gaming, and this lifelong passion has driven me to pursue a career in game development. I am dedicated to crafting experiences that inspire wonder and delight in players, and I look forward to continuing to contribute my skills and creativity to the industry for years to come.

I have worn many hats both within and outside of the game development industry. Ironstrike and its predecessor Ironlights were created by a small team, and as such I have had the opportunity to design or work on almost every aspect of game development.

I find systems design and implementation particularly rewarding. I enjoy coding deep systems that drive player engagement, and I believe I bring a eye for design and artistry to my work, and blend the two in a unique way. The intersection between code and art is where I find my joy.

My recent industry experience is largely in Unity and C#, though I have worked with Unreal/C++, Godot, and with custom in-house engines as well. I pride myself on being able to learn and adapt to new tools and stacks quickly.

Aside from game development, I have extensive experience as a full-stack web developer, working with technologies such as C# .NET, Java, SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Angular. I enjoyed the ability to switch between deep system architecture and user experience design.

Outside of work I enjoy many hobbies. I play and create music. I am part of the queer community, and believe that community building and advocacy are important to LGBTQ+ liberation. I enjoy spending my time trail hiking, walking, and riding my bicycle around San Diego.
